Mac and PDG Returning

As expected, Mac Bennett and PDG have announced they're going to come back. Merrill is contemplating leaving (nothing new here), but still needs to think it over. Red seems to think he'll stay. Trouba, Guptill and Brown are the only other guys that are big concerns for bolting early. Not expecting Trouba to, but wouldn't be surprised if Brown left. Not sure on Guptill. He had a very good freshman  year but wasn't dominant.

I'd like to see Brown back next year wearing the Captain's C.

I imagine it would be him or Kevin Lynch.

Chris Brown has signed with the Phoenix Coyotes and will not be returning for his senior year. Obviously a big hit in experience and leadership. Hoping that is that last defection.

Ouch, that one hurts.  Sad to see him go, my 8-year old is a big fan of his since he's from Texas (where we currently live).

One guy tweeted that Michigan has had 20 guys forfeit eligibility since 2000. That is alot of attrition to go along with players graduating. Incredible that we've been able to overcome that many.

Thankfully that number can also be used for recruiting kids.  Although I don't think its as usefull as say basketball, as most kids are already being looked at by pro scouts when they are 17-18 in hockey.
