Ha ha! First post on the new Watercooler!

And I have absolutely nothing useful to say. Kinda sad, really.

Tabbing down

We get the same behavior in Firefox on the PC. You don't see the insert cursor but it works. I think that's more due to the widget they're using than anything else, but I created a bug report for it.

Images

To add an image, you can just drag and drop from another browser. Let me know if that works in Safari.

Dragging and dropping works great in Firefox or IE on the PC, but we're nerdy guys like John Hogemann whereas you're cool like that younger dude from Dodgeball. There's probably a cooler way to do it on the Mac.

Let me know if drag and drop doesn't work on the Mac and I'll tell the developers.

You can also click to the HTML  tab and use <IMG src=""> to place the image.

EmotIcons

Also, if you could take a screen snap of the emoticons as they appear on Safari, let me know. I see them in Firefox, but if you click one before typing anything in the list box, they'll mess up the editing box.

Other than that you just click on them and they get inserted into the text. Not much of a selection yet, but they work fine on both IE and Firefox that I've seen.

I think I got it, just drag and drop the picture into the text box.

Re: Ha ha! First post on the new Watercooler!

Custom titles aren't in the software yet. They're talking about a couple different ways to implement them.

I've got hundreds of the custom titles saved in a spreadsheet for the moment we're able to add them. The "Premium Member" tag may become automatic.

Roger that! Thanks Barry. I know we're supposed to take our concerns to the Beta Test Forum, but my post count is wrong. Not really that big of a deal since I have less than 100 anyway...... I like this format better.

Re: Ha ha! First post on the new Watercooler!

Cool... so far people are liking this better, and there are still features on the way.

The post count is off because they took a "snapshot" of the old post counts when the beta forums went up months ago. They're going to refresh the post counts when the forums go live.

Cool. Just hacking around in here. Nice job, Barry!

Any chance we'll be able to embed video--from YouTube, for example--in our posts?

Looks like I won't be able to put in hex code for colors and the lucida handwriting font  like I did at the old joint. But there are more to choose from.

The orange still sucks but the brown looks good   pink for stiler fans?  who would use purple

I think I signed up on the Rats board before here. So my post count went over there.    So I'm going to be a newbie here again.
