Best Aggie game I've seen in person: 2007 WAC Semis. vs. Boise St. The Karl hard foul, then Reggies reaction had the crowd as rowdy as I've ever seen it. 10 min delay in the game. 10 mins of pandemonium. Not to mention after that the WHOLE PAC would boo Karl everytime he touched the ball.

Runner up: UNM's Clayton Shields' miracle 3/4 court heave to beat NMSU by a point in the PAC in 1995. Un-freaking-believable. Best Aggie game I've seen in person: 1994 win over 17th ranked Alabama (featuring Antonio McDyess) in the pre-season NIT at the PAC. We dominated. Favorite Aggie memory: There are so many. One of my favorites was not an NCAA sanctioned game.
It was playing an intramural basketball game against some of football players in the Activity Center.
"Uptown" I think their team was called. They always scored 100 points per game as they smeared everyone. We knew we had no chance to beat them, so we decided to go into a stall and try and keep them under 100 points as sort of a moral victory. It was working and pissed them off to no end.
Once I stole the ball and went alone on a breakaway, when all of a sudden this football player comes up from behind and just levels me with a full tackle. I had the wind knocked out of me and when shooting the free throws I could not tell which of the 3 baskets to shoot at. After that I don't remember if we held them under 100 or not.
Worst Aggie memory: Getting caught sneaking into the Pan Am Center to play basketball. We played for about 15 minutes until the cops showed up. One of the bright guys I was with tried to justify it by saying "But officer, we had our tennis shoes on".... He was not impressed. That became a classic line that we still use to this day...
Best Aggie game I've seen in person: 1967 Basketball Game in the Old Las Cruces High Gym. Aggies V Lobos. Lobos had Mel Daniels and were ranked #2 or 3 in the nation. The Aggies had Rob Evans and were not ranked. Aggies won 67 - 65 or something in the 60's. Classic game that got the Lou Henson Era going.
1979 Indiana State Game with Larry Bird. We drove all the way from Yuma AZ non stop to make it in time for the game. Classic game and one of the best I have ever seen in person. Bird was amazing.

Worst Aggie memory: 86-68 loss to UNM at home during 68-69 season. I think the Ags were 16-0 at the time.

Favorite Las Cruces eatery: Pete's Hacienda (I hear it's no longer in business); El Patio in the old days.
